How to remove a saved WiFi network connection in Windows 10, 8 and 7 from CMD

Remove a WiFi network connection saved in the conventional way

However, if you want to see the network password, the procedure is different. This can be useful if you forgot the connection password . If you want to see the password of a network that you have saved on your computer, the first thing to do is to connect to that network.

  • Once you are connected to the network, go to Control Panel and find the "Networks and Internet" section. Here you can find the option "Change adapter settings" .
  • All network adapters you have will be displayed, be sure to click on "Wi-Fi". Either way, you'll recognize it because the name of the network it's connected to appears below.
  • Right click on "Wi-Fi" and select "Status", then locate the option "Wireless properties" .

  • The login password will appear, all you have to do is write it down and save it for entering on any other computer.

Finally, if the network you are connecting to is personal, it is recommended that you know the process to see the devices connected to your network with IP Scanner . This is often useful for protecting against invaders on your network, which could slow it down.
