Axie Infinity Classes: Combat System

Each class of Axie Infinity has its strengths and weaknesses compared to other classes. That is why there will always be one against your team. In this guide you will find the definition of each class and the basics of combat.

Axies course in Axie Infinity

In Axie Infinity, you can find 9 different classes, each with their own main attributes such as:

  • Beast: They can get maximum morale. Morale determines your critical damage and your final or emergency state also known as Last Stand (Beasts with 61 morale have the highest last position point in the game).
  • Aquatic: They have a balance between life and speed, one of the best classes. Their biggest downside is that they have low morale, which is very rare when they receive a review.
  • plant: The preferred tanks in the game, because they are the only ones that can have 61 HP or about 516 points of life. Its main function is to last as long as possible so that your second and third lines can do as much damage as possible, they are among the most used classes.
  • Bird: The fastest in the game and one of the classes with the most damage per card. Its biggest drawback is its short lifespan.
  • Bugs: Their role in the game varies, they are very good at supporting or using their controlling skills. Recommended for advanced people.
  • reptile: Very similar to Aquatic, but with more morale, health and armor cards, great for ending the game.
  • Mechs: This class generally has a higher skill than normal. This either causes your combos to deal more damage or your defensive skills to protect you more. They are the result of a mixture of a pure insect and a pure beast.
  • dawn: Very similar to the Mech but with more life. They are the result of a mixture of a pure plant and a pure bird.
  • Dusk: This class is low on morale, but in return for that, they have a lot of health and speed. They are the result of a mix between a pure reptile and a pure aquatic one.

Disadvantages of each class

When attacking with a card, damage is calculated based on class. That is to say that if you use an aquatic card on an Axie Beast it will cause 15% more damage and if on the contrary you use a beast type card on an aquatic you will do -15% damage. As can be seen in the following image, each class has its strengths (green arrow + 15%) and weaknesses (red arrow -15%) compared to another.
