Little Love Potion (SLP)

SLP is an uncapped token used to create new Axies. It can be obtained by playing Axie Infinity, purchased through Uniswap, or earned by participating in various promotions or tournaments. Small Love Potions (SLP) are needed to breed two Axies, in which the depleted SLP will run out and be replaced by a new Axie.

History of SLP

Prior to SLP, Axies used XP (experience points) gained from the old automatic combat system to spawn. With the release of Community Alpha on 19/12/2019, XP took on a new usage, so SLP was introduced to take its place as the new “currency” behind reproduction.

Raising with the Little Love Potion (SLP)

Whenever you breed an Axie, SLP is consumed. The cost per brood depends on the number of reproductions from both parents - the more reproductions from the parents, the more SLP will be used. The number of reproductions of each of the parents is multiplied according to the table below to determine the number of potions needed, the calculations are therefore made as seen below:

(Number of First Parent Spawns x Required Potions) x (Second Parent Spawns x Required Potions) = Total SLP Required

Look at the table below to determine the cost of each parental breeding:

First set: 100 SLP
Second game: 200 SLP
Third game: 300 SLP
Fourth game: 500 SLP
Fifth game: 800 SLP
Sixth set: 1 SLP
Seventh set: 2 SLP

What's next?

The widespread speculation within the Axie community is that Small Love Potions are just the beginning for SLP. It's very likely that at some point in the future the concept of “Down and Frisky” will be updated in Lunacia, and proof can be found just by looking at the name: SMALL Love Potion. What's next? Do you want to buy / trade SLP?

To redeem your SLP, you will first need to sync it with your Ethereum wallet.

Go to your profile panel and in the lower left corner click on the button that says “Sync Love Potion”. This will move your SLP from your in-game wallet to your Ethereum wallet. It is now available for commerce.

You can now go to Uniswap, which is currently the only place you can buy or sell SLPs.
