How to create a survey in Microsoft Teams

Polls are a quick way to get very specific feedback on any topic. They limit the response options for respondents who tend to be overly wordy when answering a question and can be interpreted quickly and accurately.

Microsoft Teams allows users to respond to a survey in a meeting or channel. Add this functionality by integrating Microsoft Forms into the Microsoft Teams app.

Surveys in Microsoft Teams

A survey in Microsoft Teams is based on Microsoft Forms, which is not available to users with a free Microsoft Teams account. You must have a paid subscription for Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 that includes Microsoft Teams.

Create a survey in Microsoft Teams

To create a survey in Microsoft Teams, follow these steps.

1. Open Microsoft Teams
2. Select the computer on which you want to create a survey.
3. Select a channel in below.
4. Click on the button New conversation .
5. Click on the More options button (three dots) in the toolbar.

If you are creating a survey directly in a Microsoft Teams channel, you have the option to;

To get more customization options for a survey, you need to add a Form tab in the channel and create the survey there.

2. Go to the team and channel on which you want to run the survey.
3. Click on the plus button up.
4. Select Forms in the windows that open.
