All services and functions of this program are unlocked from the start. We will be able to register, synchronize our settings and services, or use without account . Either way, we won't see the advertisements, notices asking us to pay, or anything. It is a comprehensive program.

By default, this program uses its own API as a backend where we can register. However, it is also compatible with Franz servers to the point of being able to import its configuration without problem. And it even allows us to create our own custom server, which is very interesting in companies.

From there we will be able to configure everything related to the functioning of the program, in addition to customizing the appearance, the language and controlling the updates of Ferdi.

Add services to Ferdi

To add a new service to this program, what we need to do is click on the “+” button on the left side, and we will be able to see a list with all the compatible services.

We can search the list for the service we want to add. If we can't find it, the "Custom" entry allows us to add any web service as if it were a more open page in a browser. We select the service we want and, before registering it, we can see its personalization.

We can choose the name, if we want to activate notifications or sound, the counter of unread messages and even if we want to activate the personalized dark mode of this program. When it's ready, just click “Save Service” and it will be added to the list. To add another one, we just have to repeat the process.

The added services will appear in the left part of the window. By simply logging in, we can start using them.

Ferdi Todos, your tasks always at hand

One of the very interesting features of this program are the Ferdi Todos, or to-do lists. If we click on the two check marks that appear in the left bar, we can see a drop-down panel where a pending task service will appear.

By default, Ferdi brings the Franz Todos, but from the settings we can choose the service we like the most.

Without a doubt, a great option to always be up to date, write down everything we have to do and never forget anything.

Ferdi is available for Windows, Linux and macOS. Therefore, we are using the operating system we are using, we can use it without any problem. Generally speaking, it offers the same functions and options as Ferdi, although it is more focused on professional use where multiple platforms need to be managed and controlled.

Rambox is a program similar to Franz, but, although it is not based on his code, it offers us practically the same characteristics as this one. With it, we will be able to centralize all types of messaging services (and add our own) so that from a single program we can access them all.
