Axie Infinity: How to play Lands

The gameplay of Land in Axie Infinity is yet to come. This guide is a summary of everything we know about gameplay on land. The following topics are discussed:

In fact, this game mode is very similar to the old "Pokemon".

What is an earth or an earth in Axie Infinity?

The Axie Infinity game focuses on the Axie universe, which is called Lunacia. Lunacia is made up of tokenized plots, which can be bought, rented and developed by players. Lunacia consists of a grid of 301 x 301.

Land owners can upgrade and customize their territory to house tents, summon chimeras, produce resources, house NPCs, and even serve as dungeon access points.

The image above is an example of land in Lunacia. Each plot consists of 64 spaces in an 8x8 grid. The plot has two axes and houses a variety of items. One of these objects is displayed: the 'Stone Lamp'. As you can see, these items strengthen your Axies. In this case, they increase your XP gain by 1%.

Initially, 3 Axes can be assigned to each terrain. In the future, terrains can be upgraded to accommodate more Axes by building certain structures. The owners of the land will have the first right to the resources therein.

Types of terrain at Axie infinity

Lunacia has 4 different types of terrain: Savannah, Forest, Arctic, and Mystic. During the first land sale in 2019, the following plots were made available:

• Savannah  : 5 plots (sold for 349 ETH each)
• Forests  : 5459 plots (sold for 0,16 ETH each)
• Arctic  : 4171 plots (sold at 0,45 ETH each)
• Mystic  - 2338 Plots (sold for 1 ETH each)

Axie Land's first sale took place on January 21, 2019. Players were given the option to purchase plots of land. During this sale 1/4 of the total Plots were available. These plots were all in the northwest quadrant of Lunacia. This means that there are still three quadrants left which will be for sale at a later date.

In addition to these “normal” land types, there are “special” land types:

• Genesis Land : When purchasing “normal” type plots, there is a small chance that the buyer will receive a Genesis Land plot. Genesis Land is directly adjacent to Moon Landing. Rare bosses will spawn in Genesis Land, and owners will receive a share of all resources collected on their land. There are a total of 220 Genesis plots available, of which 75 were released during the initial sale.
• Luna's Landing : Luna's Landing is the Earth in the center of the map (shown in red in the image above). Players who collected a full set of items before May 22, 2019 received 1 Moon Landing Parcel. These plots of land will also host special world events.

The plots were offered in safes during the initial sale. Each chest had 1 parcel, including various earth objects. There are currently 199 types of terrain objects in total.

Ground objects can be placed on a plot to enhance the abilities of your Axies. Each item has its own rarity (Common, Rare, Epic, Mystic) and its own type (Savannah, Forest, Arctic and Mystic).

GamePlay Axie Infinity Land

An important aspect of the game is travel. The journey from Moon Landing to the outskirts of the map can take anywhere from a few days to a week. This is one of the reasons the Savannah and Forest plots are less valuable than the Arctic and Mystic plots - it will take longer to arrive. Most events will take place in the center of the map, so it makes sense to want to be close to the center. There's also the fact that activities will cost your axies energy, making them unable to teleport. This means that they will have to return to their home country by the shortest route, which is another reason for wanting to be close to important resource nodes.

The game in Lunacia revolves around three activities:

• Fight chimeras (bosses) in PvE battles; either alone or in a group.
• Customize your terrain: Adding structures, objects, etc.
• Cultivate resources

Chimeras are hostile creatures that drop an assortment of resources, items, and blueprints, which can be used to improve your terrain and Axies. The pink squares on the map are public resource nodes and chimera spawn locations. These plots will also host dungeons and world events.

Structures will have a variety of features, such as crafting rare ingredients (think blacksmithing), lodging Axies (inn), fishing, producing resources, and much more as you go. evolution of Lunacia. Players can find structure blueprints all over Lunacia by defeating Chimera. To build a structure, you will need to invest time and resources. Larger structures will take longer to build and cost more resources.

Resources can be collected by performing activities such as: chopping wood, quarrying, and visiting farms. Some resources will only be available when one of Lunacia's 7 moons shines, so it will be important to calculate the collection time. It can also affect the scarcity.

All resources obtained in the adventures will be represented in the form of ERC 20 tokens.
