How to win when playing Plant vs Undead (PvU)

Plant vs. Undead is a new NFT game to be won where, instead of collecting virtual pets, players own plants as NFTs.

As you can probably tell by the name, the game is very similar to the tower defense game Plants vs. Zombies, where players deploy plants to defend their base against a horde of zombies.

Combine PvZ with blockchain technology and NFTs and you have Plant vs. Undead!

Here's how to earn money playing it.

How to win while playing Plant vs. Undead

In Plant vs. Undead, players can buy seeds and grow them into plants by cultivating and watering. You can then deploy these plants in a PVP / PVE battle and defend your mother plant from waves of attacking zombies.

There are several ways players can win while playing Plant vs. Undead:

1. Agricultural mode
2. Play in PVP and PVE
3. Win contests
4. Negotiate NFTs on the marketplace

At the time of writing this article, Farming game mode is the only game winning feature of the game.

However, PVP and PVE will arrive soon in a few months!

Farm 2.0 in Plant vs. Undead

You can play to win with Plant vs. Undead using the farming game mode.

The Farm 2.0 update has just come out with new mechanics and new ways to earn farming.

To win with farming in Plant vs. Undead, you just need to spend 5 PVU tokens to become a gardener.

The PVU token  is the native cryptocurrency token used to purchase in-game items or NFTs. Here is a step by step guide on how to buy them: How to buy PVU tokens for Plant vs Undead .

1 PVU can be exchanged for 70 LE (Light Energy). LE or light energy is an in-game resource used to purchase farming tools such as water and scarecrows.

To earn money, you can water the plants 15 times a day or hunt crows 5 times a day for other owners.

When watering you can get the following rewards:

• 60% chance of getting 10 LE
• 30% chance of getting 25 LE
• 9% chance of getting 100 LE
• 1% chance of getting 500 LE

When you hunt crows, you can get the following rewards:

• 60% to get 20 LE
• 30% to get 50 LE
• 9% to get 200 LE
• 1% to get 1000 LE

Apart from that, players can now also become "owners" with the Farm 2.0 update.

Players can buy sunflower seeds, plant them in a pot, and water them until they give a huge amount of LE after a few days.

Watering and chasing crows also gives a small chance of dropping sunflower seeds.

Once you have accumulated enough light energy, you can convert them back to PVU at a rate of 100 LE = 1 PVU and then sell your PVU tokens on crypto exchanges.

PVP and PVE mode

While farming is the easiest and only method of earning available in PvU, it's actually just a secondary feature of the game.

PVP and PVE modes in Plant vs. Undead have yet to be released, but it will be the main source of profit for players.

These game modes are expected to release approximately 2-3 months after Farm Mode releases (towards the end of 2021).

According to the white paper, playing in Survival Mode (PVE) will have a chance to give you PVU tokens.

In multiplayer mode (PVP), players will compete against each other by defending themselves and attacking with zombies.

The winner will be rewarded with PVU tokens, and the highest ranked players in the leaderboards will also receive season rewards.

Participate in competitions

In addition to farming and PVP / PVE, players can also earn by participating in PvU competitions.

According to the game's white paper, a total of 30 million PvU tokens are reserved for “platform rewards”.

These platform rewards will be used to incentivize players who earn tokens by participating in competitions and other in-game activities.

This will encourage user participation and increase traction for the game.

Trading NFTs on the Market

In Plant vs. Undead, players will grow and own plants as true NFT assets.

Each plant in the game will be unique and will have a different set of stats and traits.

These plants will soon be available for trade in the Market, where players can buy, sell, or lend their plants to other players.

These transactions will also be done on the game's internal system to save on gas costs.
