Telegram already lets you make video calls and share the screen with other people from your last beta
The Durov brothers' messaging app continues to improve its functionalities in order to steal users from its most direct competitor, WhatsApp, and one of the characteristics in which it is at a disadvantage is video calls.
But it will be for a short time because Telegram already allows to pass group video calls and screen share with other users in its latest beta.
Group video calls just arrived on Telegram in beta 7.8

Since we got the Android guys, Police Telegram has already activated both group video calls and screen sharing with others in the latest beta version of its application for Android, the 7.8.
After recently announcing that group video calls are coming to Telegram, we can now confirm they are available in beta 7.8. Its operation is the same as that we saw at the time, since we do not can start a video call only from a voice chat.
This way, each of us participating in a voice chat can start a video stream or share your screen. but for this to be possible the voice chat title must include the hashtag #vid.
Once the voice chat is started, we will find the button to activate the front camera of our terminal on the left side, just where the button to activate the speakerphone appeared before, and, once we press it, we can start a video call with multiple people, accessing a preview before starting to share the video.
The second big novelty of this update is that we will also be able to share our screen with other people during a video call and for this we will only have to click on the menu button with an icon of three vertical points located at the top to the right and select the option Share screen ou the option Share screen. Once done, a notice will appear stating that Telegram will start capturing whatever appears on our screen.
Of course, we have to keep in mind that during a video call, users who are not in Telegram beta 7.8 will only hear audio and will not be able to see us or the screen we share.
