How to edit location caption or tag people in Instagram post
Although Instagram in the beginning, after posting, did not allow you to edit it, with new versions it was possible. Today we are going to you learn how to change the caption of a photo, location or tag people in a post on Instagram.
As we mentioned before, before you only had two options if you made a mistake and had already shared a post. One of them was from delete the post and redo it with the changes you want to apply , or add in a comment what you forgot to correct your mistake.
How to edit an Instagram post quickly and easily
How many times have it happened to us that we have made a post and once we share it we realize that we made a mistake, whether it was a mistake in the text, or that we just forgot add some details such as markup of people , location, hashtags or some other description.
However, today it is very easy to correct and edit any post on Instagram. The first thing to do is to enter the Instagram app and search for the post that you have already published and that you want to change.
Once you have located said item, what you need to do is to click on the three dots which can be found at the top right of the post. The next thing to do is to select from the options menu of the new window that opened and choose "Edit".
On the new screen of your mobile, you will be able to see that you have the caption on the image "Edit information" and below in the footer of the message the text ready to modify where you can correct the text. You can make any corrections to the post footer there.
To add location , you just have to click on the option "Add a location “, Which is in light blue on the publication.
Tag people or add hashtags to an Instagram post
If you want to tag people , you can do this in two ways. The first is to add the sign at sign (@) before entering that person's username. This if you know what their Instagram username is. Or you can click on the picture and search by name.
If this is an image where there are people, it's highly likely that Instagram will detect the faces with a box so you can tag them. If, on the other hand, there is no face in the image, you have the option of tagging users by clicking on the black icon below the image.
The latter is simpler, because as you write their name, you will have a dropdown list with the names of the people you follow and their profile picture.
Once you have made all the necessary changes, all you need to do is press the checked button at the top right of the post, so that all the changes you have made are saved in this way.
It may happen that once you have completed the publication, you noticed that you forgot to add the famous Hashtags. They are typically used as keywords in searches, to grow your post and reach more people.
When you edit an article, you can add a hashtag in the caption of the photo with the text of the article. To do this, you need to place the number "#" in front of the word you want to highlight.
Another option you have, which in the case of the hashtag works the same, is to add it in a comment, under the post.
If in the future you would like edit the post again , keep in mind that you can do this as many times as necessary.
